    The BHRA was founded in 1969 as an interest group advocating the advancement of the profession and the development of its members.

    Guiding Principles:



    • To continuously advance the management and development of people to the benefit of individuals, employers and the community at large.
    • To be the professional body for those specializing in advancing the management and the development of people, recognized as the leading authority and influence in this field in Bermuda.

BHRA Objectives:


    • Establish, promote and monitor

      Establish, promote and monitor local and internationally recognized standards of knowledge and experience for all persons engaged in the field of human resources management;

    • Certify persons

      Certify persons engaged in human resources management who meet local and internationally recognized standards;

    • Establish and maintain

      Establish and maintain ethical and professional conduct among Members of the Association;

    • Promote the education

      Promote the education, training and continued professional development of persons engaged or interested in human resources management;

    • Provide a medium for networking

      Provide a medium for networking and relationship building for those persons engaged or interested in the field of human resources management;

    • Contribute to the development

      Contribute to the development of Bermuda’s regulatory framework that impacts employment matters; and
